Various kinds of teaching and training are featured in a number of our projects, all tailor-made to the individual client’s needs.
This includes lectures at institutes and universities, courses for ministerial staff, and trainings and workshops for units within international institutions or staff within civil society organizations.
Oslo Analytica can provide teaching and training across our wide areas of expertise, spanning from singular lectures to several weeks intensive, in-depth courses. Our courses make use of modern teaching techniques and communication technologies, and may include visits to relevant institutions. Through our mother company, Bjørknes University College, we have access to the state of the art distant learning system/platform (Qubele), which may be used for bespoke courses for clients with staff dispersed at various geographical locations. Oslo Analytica also provides trainings in both qualitative and quantitative research methodology, including sampling strategies, interview styles, information gathering, data-processing, verification techniques, analysis and presentation.
Oslo Analytica offers ‘hands-on’ and skills-based courses in Programme and Project Management (PPM), Conflict Management in Practice (CM) and Building Successful Partnerships (BSP).
Members of our staff team have successfully run such practical courses in over 30 countries in Africa, Asia, the Americas, the South Pacific and Europe for 20+ years. The short courses aim at building people’s competence, skills and confidence in their daily work, and providing practical tools to handle issues related to the topics addressed in each course. Participants include people working in a broad development context such as development workers, project managers, leaders, government agencies and non-government international development organisations.
Our participatory approach to social learning encourages learners to actively engage with the materials through discussion, repeatedly practicing skills, and giving and receiving feedback with their colleagues and the course facilitators.
Oslo Analytica arranges both open generic courses for individual participants and single client courses. When designing bespoke courses, specific content is tailored to the needs of our clients to ensure that we meet people’s actual needs, and that participants can use their learning practically, in their daily work. In this case, participants normally work with real projects that they or their teams are developing or engaged with currently.
Also, Oslo Analytica offers close support and follow up after the courses to ensure the sustainable impact of the course. Upon finishing the course, you will get a certificate of participation.
